From 1 September 2023, every Spaceships booking of at least 5 days will come with a free SIM card (yours to keep). Even if you don't see it on your booking, as you booked before we added these, you can still get one. Just ask when arriving at the depot - weekdays between 9am and 4pm.

The free NZ SIM card is a Prepay SIM card, just like the one you use at home. It comes in three sizes (standard, micro and nano), you pop out the one that fits in your phone.
All you need to do is pop it in your (simlock-free phone), activate it - this can be done by using free WiFi at our depots - and top it up (if you want to call regular numbers, our 0800 number is always free). We use the following mobile providers:

Which SIM card brand will be in your campervan depends on availability. Both providers are great and have mobile coverage throughout New Zealand and offer affordable prepay plans.
