The old-fashioned navigational system has left the Spaceships Universe. The curtain has fallen on these separate TomTom-like GPS / SatNav units. More and more travellers prefer to use their own smartphone as navigation device - power to your preferred gadget - so we no longer offer separate SatNav / GPS units.

Worried about mobile data in New Zealand? No worries.

• A lot of map apps have offline mode so you can download NZ maps before starting your road trip. Some of the map apps that have this feature: Maps .me, Google Maps and Organic Maps.

• Your Spaceships booking includes a free NZ SIM card - just add data and/or minutes.

• Or go for an eSIM for travellers - get an extra discount on any plan - that is active from the moment you arrive in New Zealand
