Spaceships Rentals New Zealand offers pick-ups and drop-offs around the clock. We are a 24-hours campervan rental business. Picking up after-hours or dropping off after-hours aka outside of office hours is a free service but it must be pre-arranged. Simply book your campervan online and select 'after-hours' or 'early after-hours' as pick-up time.
After-hours = between 5pm and midnight
Early after-hours = between midnight and 8am
This means that the earliest you can pick up or drop off a campervan is one minute past midnight (00:01 aka 12:01am) and the latest you can pick up or drop off a campervan is one minute before midnight (23:59 aka 11:59pm). At midnight a new rental day starts.
(Early) after-hours is a time frame, not a fixed time. As a computer cannot understand these time frames, your booking confirmation will show a specific time within the (early) after-hours time frame. By default, the booking system sets 8am for early after-hours and 5pm for after-hours. These default times are just outside of office hours, so we know your pick-up or drop-off is an early or regular after-hours one. No worries, you can pick up or drop off your campervan at any time within that time frame. Only when picking up or dropping off during office hours you have a fixed time that we appreciate you honouring. Our prices are based on calendar days, not on 24-hour intervals so a change of pick-up or drop-off time doesn't change the price of your booking, as long as you don't go past midnight.
Reminder: when booking your campervan you can select any pick up or drop-off time you want. If you want to change the times later on, you can do it via the Online Check-in Portal if the change is to a time within office hours (between 9am and 4pm). If you want to change to after-hours picking up or dropping off it can be requested via our friendly crew.
