Think your Self-Contained Spaceships Campervan toilet might be leaking? No need to stress, here are some simple steps to help you investigate and resolve the issue quickly. Most problems are easy to fix and we’re here to help if you need it!

  1. Remove and reinsert the cassette: Take out the cassette and push it back in firmly until you hear it click and lock into place.

  2. Check the cassette's emptying cap: Make sure the rubber O-ring seal on the cassette emptying cap is clean, undamaged, and screwed on tightly.

  3. Test the toilet blade: From inside the van, slide the toilet blade fully open and closed a few times to ensure it moves smoothly.

  4. Do a quick water test: Pour a little clean water into the toilet bowl and flush once. Then, check around the cassette for any signs of leaking liquid.

If the cassette remains empty, or if you notice leaking or unpleasant smells after these steps, the problem might be with the toilet’s mechanical seal. Contact Spaceships and we’ll arrange for a quick inspection and repair.
