Losing the key of your campervan is annoying, but it happens. Because a lost key is not a mechanical fault of the campervan, the costs are yours to cover - even if you have selected an insurance option. Here is what to do.
What to do
If you have lost your key (or it was stolen), contact our 24/7 Roadside Assistance:
Phone (free within New Zealand): 0800 772 237, then choose option 3
Tell them you are renting a Spaceships campervan, where you are, and your booking reference.
Our Roadside Assistance partner NZRA will take it from there and arrange the help you need.

Who pays for a lost key?
A lost key is not a mechanical fault of the campervan, so the callout cost for Roadside Assistance to help you is your cost, regardless of the insurance option you have selected. This is also set out in our Terms & Conditions.
