Why was my request (booking request) cancelled?

Our super advanced yet easy-to-use booking site gives you the most up-to-date info about prices and availability. It is exactly the same info our crew has when checking prices and availability. Power to you! 💪

When you see an orange status bar for a particular campervan category with the words "Limited Availability - Request" it means you will be sending in a booking request. This is because availability is low - getting close to sold out - and lots of bookings have been coming in around the same moment for that particular campervan category on that specific date/route combo. It means that our crew still needs to process incoming booking request and then check whether your booking request can be turned into a booking.

And we do try to turn every booking request into a booking but sometimes it simply isn't possible for the date/route combo you have requested. You'll then receive an update via email to let you know that unfortunately we haven't been able to fulfil your request and had to cancel it. We'll always add alternative options if these are available, for example:

  • Choosing an alternative campervan category, which is available on your travel dates & route.

  • Changing your travel dates slightly, so it matches a specific gap in our booking schedule.

  • Changing your route to one where there is availability for the selected vehicle on your preferred dates.

However, there are certain busy times of the year were offering an alternative solution simply isn't possible. But you can always contact our friendly crew via email, chat or phone to discuss your options. The more flexible your date & route is, the easier it'll be to try to find an alternative for you.
