Most Spaceships are self-charging. They do not need to be hooked up to a powered campsite. Therefore you can camp at cheap or free (unpowered) campsites. No power is needed, so there is no option to connect a power cable to your Spaceships campervans, there is no mains hook-up.

Most Spaceships campervan do not come with an electrical hook-up cord for powered campsites! Most Spaceships are self-charging, no mains cord or electrical hook-up cord is needed.
You can camp at unpowered campsites.
The exception to this are the amazing campervans we've added in 2026 to the fleet.
Cosmo VW Campervan does come with a mains plug and can be plugged in at powered campsites. But it also comes with the famous smart-battery system, a leisure battery (second battery for off-grid use) and a solar panel on its roof to charge the batteries.
Sigma Campervan is our next level Estima campervan. Just like our other Estima campervans it cannot be plugged in so you can stay at unpowered campsites. But it does come with a powerful leisure battery (second battery), solar panel on its roof and a built-in inverter so you can plug in 220V devices like at home.
Unpowered or Powered Campsite - Rule of Thumb
All Spaceships campervans in the New Zealand fleet can be used at unpowered campsites.
But only the Cosmo VW Campervan can be used at a powered campsite as it is the only one that comes with a mains hook-up (plug to connect the campervan to a powered campsite).
